Villa del Balbianello
It is a stunning villa located on a peninsula overlooking Lake Como and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area. The villa was built in the 18th century and has been used as a filming location for several movies and also as a backdrop to a piano playing at sunset at the atmospheric floating festival.
Villa Carlotta
This beautiful villa is located in Tremezzo and houses a museum and botanical gardens. The gardens are particularly impressive, with over 500 species of plants and flowers from around the world.
Bellagio
Known as the "Pearl of Lake Como," is a charming town with narrow streets, beautiful gardens, and stunning views of the lake. The gardens of Villa Melzi are not to be missed. It's a popular spot for tourists, so be sure to arrive early to avoid the crowds.

Vezio Castle
On the mountain above Varenna heads the medieval castle of Vezio; which offers beautiful views over the lake. Inside the castle walls you can admire the park and the falconry.
Piona Abbey
A beautiful abbey located in the municipality of Colico, founded in the seventh century. It's a great place to visit if you are interested in history and architecture.

Gravedona
This pretty town is located on the northwestern shore of Lake Como and is known for its beautiful beaches and lakeside promenade.
It's a great place for a leisurely stroll or a swim in the lake.
Local Food
No trip to Lake Como is complete without trying some of the local food.
Be sure to try dishes like risotto "alla milanese", "polenta with missoltino", and "bresaola" (a type of cured beef that's a specialty of the region).
Wine Tasting: Several excellent wineries are located at the northern part of the lake and wine tasting is a great way to experience the flavors of the region. Be sure to try the Valtellina Superiore and the Sassella, both of which are made from the Nebbiolo grape.
